Bill Kane has been a teacher and school administrator for 17 years. He spent the last seven years as Principal of Maple Road School, a PreK-6 elementary school in West Milford Township, NJ. Bill worked with staff members and the school community to help Maple Road School achieve a National School of Character distinction from Character.org in 2017.
The father of five children, four boys and one brave girl, Bill understands the natural gender differences that drive childhood development and impact student learning. Observing the nature of his own children and helping nurture their development through childhood and adolescence has enhanced Bill’s work as an educator and trainer.
Bill began his journey with the Gurian Institute in an effort to meet the evolving needs of his own students and school. He brings his personal and professional expertise to educators and professionals throughout the country to have a positive impact on as many children as possible. Bill received his B.A. in Communication Arts from The College of New Jersey and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from William Paterson University.
