Ethan Segovia

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

Mr. Ethan Segovia is the Dean of Academics at the Army and Navy Academy in San Diego, California. He also serves as Adviser to the Model UN and Harvard Model Congress teams. He has taught AP U.S. History, U.S. History, World History, World Geography, and Middle School Social Science classes. He was also the Assistant Dean of Academics at the TASIS England Summer Program for seven years, an internationally recognized boarding school located just outside of London.

Mr. Segovia grew up in a small surf town in San Diego called Cardiff by the Sea. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at UC Santa Cruz, and his Masters and Administrative Credential at Cal State University San Marcos. Ethan is an avid surfer, runner and basketball player.

Mr. Segovia is a newly-certified Gurian trainer, but has been teaching, mentoring, and educating boys for over a decade. His first experience with youth was when he began coaching middle school girls basketball when he was only 18 years old. Since then, his love for teaching and educating students brought him to the Academy and to the Gurian model. He particularly enjoys watching his faculty members transform students lives through Gurian methods, both inside and outside of the classroom.
