GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA
Steve Hadaway has over 20 years of experience as an educator, serving as a high school math teacher, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. In addition, he has taught Ethics and presented Character Education talks to the entire student body. Steve has been a Certified Gurian Instructor since 2004 and has worked on several projects with the Institute, including assisting the Atlanta Public School system with the creation of two single-gender schools. He has also presented at statewide conferences on the benefit of understanding how boys and girls learn. During his career in the Navy, Steve helped establish a new program in Recruit Training that assisted struggling recruits with being successful in recruit training, the Navy, and in life. This program focuses on anger management, goal setting, working in culturally diverse settings, and self-reflection. This program is still in use in recruit training today. Currently Steve is the Assistant Academic Dean at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Georgia. Riverside is a 7th through 12th grade, all male high school. Steve has trained and assisted his faculty in ways to improve success in a single gender setting.
