Dr. Ariana Lopez

Ariana has been in the early childhood field for more than 20 years. She has spent time as a Head Start teacher, supervisor, mentor/coach and an administrator. She earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Arizona, her Master’s of Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University and a Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University in 2018. Ariana has also spent time as a Quality First Coach where she coached childcare programs on meeting quality indicators for the state’s QRIS. She has also worked for the Arizona Department of Education Early Childhood unit where she provided training and technical assistance to early childhood programs across the state on the Arizona Early Learning Standards and Infant Toddler Developmental Guidelines. She has also spent time on research grants with Arizona State University where she coached programs on improving language and literacy teaching practices and assisted in writing an early childhood curriculum. Ariana is currently the Education Coordinator with Greater Phoenix Urban League Head Start.
