Miranda Scully is the District Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement with Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS). She joined FCPS after serving with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education as the School & Community Engagement Manager. During her time with the commission she ensured the effective delivery of outreach services in partnership with K-12 schools and community organizations to support low-income, first-generation and other at-risk students in preparing for and accessing postsecondary education. Prior to joining the Commission, Miranda worked with the University of Kentucky’s Center for Academic Resources & Enrichment Services (CARES) as an Academic Counselor and Bluegrass Community & Technical College’s Upward Bound Program as Student Development Specialist. Miranda is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she received her bachelor’s degree in social work and sociology as well as her master’s degree in social work. In addition to being certified as a Gurian Institute trainer, she is also certified as a Bridges Out of Poverty trainer. Ms. Scully operates from a holistic approach in ensuring students are academically, mentally, emotionally and socially supported in order to reach their full potential in the classroom and beyond..
