Boys and Girls
The 15th annual Summer Institute was held June 16-18, 2016 in Carlsbad, California on the shores of the Pacific Ocean at one of our newest Gurian Model Schools, Army and Navy Academy.
Attendees learned the latest research in gender differences related to education and human behavior. They departed with proven success strategies for strategic school wide and classroom implementation. This intense training experience is designed for teachers, administrators, parents and other professionals working with children in all settings including those serving in the social services.

We heard from keynote presentations – “Understanding the Minds of Boys and Girls” by Michael Gurian and “Queenbees and Masterminds: Creating a Culture of Dignity In Our Schools and Beyond” by Rosalind Wiseman. Afternoon breakout sessions for practitioners, parents, and administrators allowed for collaboration and in depth conversations about how to become change agents in your community and schools.
