We are proud to announce a new Conference on Zoom:  What Boys Need As Males: A Global Conversation on Raising Boys into Men in the 21st Century. This conference is sponsored by the Santa Fe Boys Fund and the Gurian Foundation.

Today’s blog post introduces you to the conference which will be on Zoom from January 23 – 26, 2026.  Attendance is free, but please register via the website so that you can attend and interact with the speakers. And please spread the word. Now here’s more about the conference.

The conference began as a conference featuring experts from the U.S. but then we decided to reach out around the globe because the issues facing boys and men are international not just national.  While you will see that most speakers are from the U.S., we are honored to have others from other continents joining in the conversation.

We have speakers who work with boys in the early childhood space, K – 12 education, higher ed, and men in emerging adulthood and beyond. Speakers also work with males in counseling psychology, the political sphere, media and social media, health, mental health, and across the lifespan.

The “as males” in the title is important: this conference is about what is going on with boys and men from an evolutionary perspective, including nature, nurture, and culture. The conference statement is:
