Early Bird Registration for our Summer Training Institute ends May 15! Check out the website for details: https://gurianinstitute.com/events/gurian-summer-institute-2023/. All the presentations will be available on a password protected site for registrants until July 10. This will allow some schools to use week days for the PD rather than the weekend, if needed.
Some prerecorded keynotes and workshops will be available on June 18, which extends the time the Training is available to three full weeks. Again, to register, click https://gurianinstitute.com/events/gurian-summer-institute-2023/.
You can register as an individual on the website or bring groups of 5 or more or 20 or more at discounts. For group registration, contact gail@gurianinstitute.com. We hope you will take advantage of early bird discounts soon!
On Monday morning, June 26, we will be certifying new Trainers. You can certify to be a Gurian Certified Trainer via the four hour Zoom session with Eva Dwight, M.Ed. Contact gail@gurianinstitute.com if you would like to become a Trainer (check out the Trainer page of www.gurianinstitute.com for more on our Trainers).
While most of our Summer Training involves K – 12 schooling and age groups, this year’s SI also includes an Early Childhood Track set up specifically for early childhood educators, caseworkers, coaches, caregivers, and those interested in seeing how the Gurian work translates into early childhood schools and programs. This ECE track is inspired and fulfilled through the Early Childhood Pilots in Phoenix, AZ in which the Gurian Institute has worked with Head Start, Greater Phoenix Urban League, and the City of Phoenix at school sites in the Cartwright School District (Cartwright, Byron Barry, and Arizona State University Preparatory Academy) and Booker T. Washington schools.
To learn more about all the keynotes, workshops, trainings, and tracks, and to register, please click: https://gurianinstitute.com/events/gurian-summer-institute-2022/. We look forward to seeing you online soon!
What Other Participants Have Said
“Amazing. Powerful. To see the brain scans and understand differences between the male and female brain is a game-changer in education.”
“The applications of this work in early childhood are stunning. I was especially moved by what is happening with our boys in preschool. We face a systemic issue.”
“The keynotes and workshops on helping children of color were powerful in their own right, and they worked together with the understanding of male/female. Very helpful and needed, especially in our present time.”
“Every year I come back. This is the best conference anywhere for understanding the brains of males and females, and how that understanding can positively change classrooms and communities.”
“Covered each element on the gender spectrum very well. Great tools, great training!”
“I came as a therapist and mother and found myself energized and excited in both areas. This work universally taps into what we are all thinking and feeling every day.”
