For seven years, the Gurian Institute has been working with Head Start of Phoenix on Pilot and Comprehensive training programs as well as program development alongside Marion Hill, the Program Coordinator for Phoenix Head Start.  Marion is a dynamic program head, speaker, Gurian Certified Trainer, and founder of M.A.N.C.A.V.E., a Nurturing Fathers program

This last year, M.A.N.C.A.V.E. partnered with Dads Together.  In our blog post today, you will hear from Marion about the partnership and about how you can be involved.  M.A.N.C.A.V.E. & Dad Together would like to spread out nationwide, and you can help.  Here’s more from Marion and the program.

The M.A.N. C.A.V.E. & Dad Together have joined together with one vision in mind “to reach fathers and male role models.”  This program is designed to help fathers and male role models strengthen their relationships with their children, improve communication and parenting skills, and build a support network of other dads and men who are going through similar experiences.

M.A.N. C.A.V.E. and Dad Together improve the well-being of children by increasing the number of children growing up with engaged, committed, and responsible fathers or male role models. We promote the importance of nurturing fathers and mothers, parenting, and healthy marriages, and in doing so, improve the lives of children and families.

M.A.N.C.A.V.E & Dad Together provide nurturing programming, one-on-one or group mentoring for fathers, and male role models to help them navigate the challenges of healthy masculinity, parenthood and build strong healthy relationships.  Through this partnership, men are empowered to be positive role models and active participants in their children’s lives, ultimately creating stronger, more resilient families and communities.

In addition to the curriculum and mentoring sessions, M.A.N.C.A.V.E. & Dad Together offer workshops, social events, and community resources to help fathers connect with their families and support overall well-being.

Our goal is to create a supportive and inclusive community where fathers can learn from each other, share their experiences, and grow as men, husbands and fathers.
