Kim Ealy-Lambert

Ms. Ealy-Lambert grew up in Harlem located in New York City but currently resides in Ellicott City, Maryland.  She attended Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work.  After graduating in 1992, Ms. Lambert spent much of her career in Prince George’s County Public Schools as a Teacher.  She  was also a Teacher in Bermuda and worked as an Educational Consultant for an education tech company.   Her greatest passion is collaborating with other educators to create the most effective engaging lessons that ignites a spark to learn in ALL students!   She provided professional development opportunities for teachers to learn and grow in their profession as well as coached Novice teachers to assist them with providing best practices/strategies that are designed to empower and inspire young people to be creative and critical thinkers.

 

Ms. Lambert received her Masters of Education and Integrated Studies from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2001.  She also received her Admin 1 certification from Trinity University in Washington, DC in 2019.  She is also an author of a self-published book entitled “ChoSon”, which is about her journey raising a son with Down Syndrome.  She currently has three roles at Buck Lodge Middle School in Adelphi, Maryland. She teaches an AVID creative arts course to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, provides professional development opportunities to teachers and parents, and acts as a coach to Novice teachers.

 

She is the proud mother of 2 sons, 15 and 17, an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated,  and enjoys traveling, journaling and spending time with family and friends.  She believes all people have abilities and there is no such thing as disabilities but instead different abilities.
