Today’s blog post is by Gurian Master Trainer Rob Kodama. After dedicating 28 years to education at Crespi Carmelite High School, a Gurian Center for Educational Excellence in Encino, California, where Rob was Director of Admissions, Rob has embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining Vidigami, an education technology company. Rob will be a special guest at our Summer Institute in June to discuss how to leverage boys and girls learn differently theory and practice in your school and community.

I have worked with the Gurian Institute for twenty years and am excited to bring this exciting news to its constituents.
Vidigami specializes in providing schools with a revolutionary platform designed to centralize, organize, and share the rich tapestry of photos and videos that document every student’s educational journey. In an era shaped by generative AI, social media dynamics, and stringent data privacy regulations, schools face the critical task of safeguarding their students’ identities while also fostering engagement among students and families. Vidigami offers a powerful solution to this challenge.
Vidigami enables schools to effectively crowdsource and share the multitude of visual moments that celebrate their unique culture and community. From field trips to soccer games, to performances and convocation, photos and videos can be easily collected and tagged, seamlessly organized into each student’s personal collection. This curated repository evolves into a dynamic portfolio, chronicling their growth and experiences throughout their time at the school.
The content not only cherishes the individuality of each student but also serves as a catalyst for engaging families in the school experience. The ability to share these stories within the school community fosters connections that are truly invaluable.
I am very excited to bring Vidigami to schools because I believe we need a far better solution for leveraging photos and videos to engage students, families and alumni. These moments are what connects the community to the school and the authenticity of these stories is what attracts new students and families to the school. We have all witnessed valuable content being silo’ed and lost or vanish over the years as individuals transition out of a school. Vidigami changes that narrative by providing a solution designed to meet the needs of schools and how digital media assets need to be managed, organized, and archived. Vidigami is a necessity that I believe schools will find increasingly more apparent in the upcoming years.
