Nearly daily, we receive emails or calls from teachers, administrators, community members, and others regarding issues facing boys and girls in school and how GI can help. A recent example read this way: “I am a high school teacher and have been for 25 years. I am extremely concerned about our young men. I have been sounding the alarm for the past 5 years. What are the next steps we have to take? How can GI help us solve this problem in our schools?”
Because GI has been addressing boys’ and girls’ issues for more than 25 years, we wrote back an email with suggestions and services linked to GI. This email comprises today’s blog post. In terms of services, a next step for you school might be to bring Training/PD there for Summer PD days and beyond. Our Summer Training Institute is Virtual in June: https://gurianinstitute.com/events/gurian-summer-institute-2023/. You and a group from your school could attend that. It is a dynamic virtual event that serves hundreds of educators every year.

We hope you, your school, and your community will partner with us to solve these very deep social issues. As you indicated, action is needed. Words are good, but training and the actions that result from it speak even louder.
